Exciting Headliners Will Help to Mark Centennial of Naval Aviation
Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks announced that the United States Navy’s famed precision flying team, the Blue Angels, will return as the major act for the 2011 airshow. Show dates are planned for July 16th & 17th, 2011 at the Greater Rochester International Airport (GRIA) where the Blue Angels will be flying F/A-18 Hornets.
“Monroe County is thrilled that the Blue Angels have selected the Greater Rochester International Airport as one of their show sites across the United States for 2011,” Brooks said. “This marks the sixth time that our community has had the privilege of hosting the high speed, action packed aerobatic show. The Blue Angels renowned six-jet Delta formation certainly promises to keep our spectators and their families on the edge of their seats.” (read more)
